PASSENGER 57 (1992)

The story begins when a new Vusi 13-year-old was forced to flee to the United States because his life is threatened by the police in South Africa at that time still adheres to the system of apartheid. Vusi sought by the police because of having a relationship with the revolutionaries who want to subvert the racist system that is based on skin color.

 After 12 years on, comes the new leadership of the country of South Africa Nelson Mandela who are multiracial. So Vusi could return to their home country to attend his father's funeral.

It turned out that his return to South Africa makes it a must to experience culture shock that has been long forgotten. No wonder if Vusi so surprised because he as the eldest son should be sacrificed the animals. He did not want to do it. Apparently Vusi has now fully become Americans.
Consequently Vusi not stand again in his native country and want to get back to America.

 But before going to America, Vusi was asked by her mother and her brother to go to Johannesburg. They expect to bring home the youngest brother, Steven who reportedly was involved with criminals.

Unfortunately Vusi could not find Steven in his apartment and just managed to meet the neighbors sister, Karin (Elizabeth Hurley). The woman who is a stripper looks much know about Steven. Vusi Later learned that his sister Karin is a sweetheart. Steven and Karin turns are cocaine addicts. In addition, Steven apparently accidentally disappeared because of large debts of around 15 thousand dollars to a local drug dealer boss, Muki (Ving Rhames). Feeling anxious about the safety of Steven, Vusi and Karin work together to look for it. However Muki also want to look for Steven because the unpaid debt.
