The man known as Mariachi ( Antonio Banderas ) to track drug bosses , " Bucho " with the help of his friends were pretty bookseller ( Salma Hayek ) .
Mariachi then dropped Bucho group of men in the border city slum in retaliation for the murder of her lover which also resulted in the injury of his hand until he was no longer able to work as a musician .
