Marty McFly , an American teenager who accidentally sent back to 1955 with a plutonium -powered time machine * DeLorean invented by slightly mad scientist . During his travels , Marty must make sure that the parents are still teenagers must meet and fall in love , otherwise he would not be born in the future .
